Data Center Operator
Key Requirements:
• Solid understanding of hyper scale electrical and mechanical systems and OSHA Regulations that pertain to data centers
• Ability to perform practical applications of, preventative and corrective maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and other infrastructure systems
• Responsible for the safe, professional, and operationally sound manipulation of electrical systems that support systems in high-availability, high-risk, or high-reliability environments
• Regularly inspects and supervises critical equipment and responds too irregular or malfunctioning conditions.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations that impact the operations and coordinates with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs.
• Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret fire system, electrical system, and mechanical system drawings.
• Understands and Follows all local regulations for operations and work safety to include knowledge of safety procedures and equipment, procedures and established techniques.
• Highly preferred to have previous experience with Huawei data center systems such as UPS, CCU, monitoring systems, etc.
• Highly preferred to have good experience with Perkins generators.
• Intermediate PC skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshooting of operational issues, escalation and coordination of operational activities will be required.
• Provide site supervision for AMC contractors as per the scheduled maintenance and client regulations.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and support process improvement actions related to data center services.
• Support Shipping and Receiving with delivery and tracking of packages internally, packaging/unpacking and loading/unloading of deliveries for customers, carriers, vendors or other offices.
• Adhere to guidelines related to the physical security of the Data Center and hardware assets.
Workload style:
• Data Center Operator works 8 hours per day on a rotating shift schedule including weekend and holiday shifts and may work overtime depending on business needs.
• Requires ability to climb and utilize a ladder varying in types from A-Frame to extension ladders at various heights.
• Use of appropriate PPE such in a variety of environments.

• Min 5 years’ experience
